Here at Moose's Photos, in addition to business success, we pursue two ideals. First, the conservation of biodiversity. We feel that these words of the great Aldo Leopold are absolutely true. " The last word in ignorance is the man who says of an animal or plant: "What good is it?" If the land mechanism as a whole is good, then every part is good, whether we understand it or not. If the biota, in the course of aeons, has built something we like but do not understand, then who but a fool would discard seemingly useless parts? To keep every cog and wheel is the first precaution of intelligent tinkering." We consider the loss of any species to be unacceptable. The second ideal for which Moose's Photos stands is Free Speech. We feel that the bill of rights and most importantly the first amendment are the very definition of America. "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." - popularly credited to Ben Franklin. Our business is about providing our clients with the highest quality nature photos, whether they are licensing stock images for use in their commercial or editorial project or displaying images as fine art on their walls. We work hard to photograph all aspects of nature, but specialize in bird images, especially waterfowl. Rick photographs all manner of ducks and geese and plans to continue to do so. Rick also intends to vastly extend his library of seabird images, with an ultimate goal of producing a book on all of the world's albatross. |
